Fab Foundry brings together school administrators and teachers of all disciplines to explore how makerspace technology improves the educational experience and drives 21st century learning outcomes. During this four-day workshop, you'll gain hands-on experience with fabrication techniques and software programs, swap tips and ideas, collaborate with likeminded educators, and walk away with new ideas for your curriculum.
Creating a couple of times on each machine gave me a deeper understanding of how the various softwares and machines worked. And I loved having the hands-on experience with instruction in a small group setting — this was phenomenal!
Above and beyond my expectations. Just an awesome experience.
This was wonderful! The conversation and food were amazing! And the "dorm" was fantastic. Loved walking the trails, too.

Set on a stunning hilltop in rural Northeastern Connecticut, Pomfret has been called one of the most beautiful schools in the world.
Studded by maples and ringed by stone walls, our 500-acre Hilltop campus exudes New England charm. The original buildings were designed by the celebrated Beaux-Arts architect Ernest Flagg and the grounds were laid out by world-renowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted.
Your home away from home will be Eastover, an 8,000-square foot, 19th century cottage-turned-dorm overlooking the heart of campus. During your stay, you'll have access to the school’s fitness center, wooded trail system, tennis and squash courts, and yoga studio. Catered meals will be served in our post-and-beam-style lodge.
Despite the sense of seclusion, Pomfret is less than an hour from Boston, Hartford, and Providence, and only three hours from New York City.
