How do I access the school buildings and dorms?
Pomfret’s exterior doors are locked and buildings are accessible only to those with credentials.
Use Your Cellphone (Employees only)
You should have received an email from Avigilon Alta [setup@openpath.com] with instructions to download the app for either iOS or Android and set up your mobile device. When prompted to select location access preferences for Alta Open, it is important to select “always.” Once you’ve downloaded the app and connected your mobile device, you can access permitted areas by waving your hand in front of the electronic reader — even with your cell phone in your backpack or back pocket!
Use Your PomfretCard
Students will use their PomfretCard as an electronic key. To gain access, simply touch your PomfretCard to the card reader.
