When you arrive at the Welcome Center, a member of our faculty will be there to greet you. At this time, we may direct you to visit one or more offices on campus to resolve an outstanding issue. The most common issue we encounter on arrival days is missing paperwork. Once everything is resolved, you can return to the Welcome Tent. Here, a member of our Dean's Office team will issue you a dorm key. Once you have your key, you can go back to your car, move to the appropriate staging area, and start moving in. Day students will receive their locker and a padlock at the day room, which is located on the second floor of the Olmsted Student Union. Throughout the morning, student leaders will be around to lend a helping hand.

We have a full day of activities planned for both students and parents. Please plan to stay until 4:00 p.m. 

This year day students and boarding students will follow the same Arrival Days plan. If you are a day student, please take a look at the options, and select the one that makes the most sense for you. 

Our Dining Hall will serve up a delicious lunch to students and their families. On Monday, lunch will be open from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. On Tuesday, lunch will be open from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Arrival Days are the days when students return to campus and move in. Opening Days is the phrase we use to describe the special schedule we follow during the first few days after you arrive.

This year, Family Weekend is Thursday, October 12 – Saturday, October 14.

No. Although we strongly recommend that students stay up to date on their Covid vaccinations, at this time, it is not a requirement. 
 

BIPOC and international students are encouraged but not required to return on Monday. If you so choose, you can opt to return on Tuesday. 

Varsity boys and girls soccer, field hockey, volleyball, and girls cross country will begin preseason on Friday September 1.
