Affectionately known as The Villa, Picerne House has been a quiet fixture on the south end of campus for decades. Originally a care facility called Regina Pacis Villa, meaning “Queen of Peace,” this stately building has served many roles over the years — from faculty housing to campus offices — before becoming a dorm in the fall of 2015. Just steps from the Main House, Picerne offers a convenient home base. Its common room, complete with a flat-screen TV, microwave, and soft seating, is a favorite spot for catching up with friends, hosting dorm events, or simply winding down at the end of the day.
