Zoom is a popular videoconferencing platform that's used all over the world.
Zoom is Pomfret's go-to resource for video conference meetings, audio conferencing, webinars, meeting recordings, and even live chat. Zoom events can be recorded, archived, and posted. At Pomfret, we use Zoom to host cloud-based videoconference office hours and extra help sessions (and perhaps other synchronous events). Students will be able to sign up for Google Calendar appointment times that include Zoom links, and may receive email calendar invitations with Zoom meeting details.
Recently, Pomfret expanded access to Zoom and synced the application with our Google Calendars. Teachers can refer to this document from the Technology Office to get up and running with Zoom if you have not previously used it. Faculty have the ability to make any appointment and calendar invite a Zoom event.
Looking to bring a bit of Pomfret to your Zoom meetings? We've got you covered. Click on any image to open it in a new window, and then right-click to save the image. To add it to your library, open Zoom, choose Settings (the little gear), and then select Virtual Background.
