Freshman Year

Let’s explore the unique human you are, and the human you desire to become. Your first year at Pomfret is all about embracing mentorship — both through faculty and fellow classmates — to develop healthy and helpful habits while discovering and strengthening your voice.

Sophomore Year

Discovery

What’s your Yes? How about your No? Sophomore year is decisive. In your explorations, what did you learn about yourself, your interests, and your personal working style? Once you feel confident in making informed personal decisions, you will feel equipped to start the college search process.
 

Junior Year

Focus

It’s time to fine-tune. You have developed your working style and habits. Write down a list of colleges you feel could be a good fit. Take initiative. Set up visits. Check in with your college counselor. Nurture your commitment to excellence and curiosity.
 

Senior Year

Presentation

Strive valiantly. Utilize the strong self-knowledge you’ve cultivated and pick your final list of schools. Be proactive with outreach and send a thank-you note. Finally, submit those applications. And celebrate.
