Eng: Flannery O'Connor

During her brief career, Flannery O'Connor capitalized on her unique perspective on the South of the '50s and '60s to produce some of American literature's wildest and most entertaining short stories.  In this course, we'll read a large collection of O'Connor's work, picking apart their colorful characters, creative imagery, and macabre plotlines to appreciate this sometimes overlooked master of the American Gothic. We'll also consider O'Connor's background, its impact on her work, and her enduring legacy. 

This course utilizes a mixed-level classroom model, offering both Advanced and Standard level options.
