Ceramics II

Ceramics II builds upon the foundational skills learned in Ceramics 1, challenging students to refine their craftsmanship and expand their creative approach to working with clay. Through guided prompts, students will have the freedom to choose their preferred handbuilding techniques while exploring more advanced construction methods, surface treatments, and glazing processes. This course also introduces wheel throwing, where students will learn the fundamentals of centering clay and creating functional forms such as mugs and bowls. Emphasis is placed on artistic exploration, problem-solving, and developing a personal voice through clay.
