David Ring

David Ring holds a BA in English and an MEd from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where he was a member of their varsity crew team, winning a gold medal at the New England Championships in 1991.

David began his Pomfret career as the assistant library director in 2011 and was the school’s library director from 2014 to 2021. David returned part-time to the English classroom in 2018 and transitioned to full-time English faculty in the fall of 2021. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, David coaches the boys’ crew and cross-country teams. Since 2010, David has also performed in several theater productions at local community theaters. He and his wife, Linda, have two children, Ruby ’30 and Max ’26.
