Key Club, the largest club on campus — over 100 students strong — gives tours of Pomfret to prospective students and their parents. Ordinarily, Pomfret students give about one tour per week to families.

The knitting club, known as Yarn People, meets and works on projects together. They learn new skills and create pieces to donate to local charities. 

Manuscripts Club is the student literary publication club that produces Manuscripts, which is edited and published by a senior editor who works with a volunteer staff of student assistants.

Students compete in math against other schools. Teams that do well in the local league are invited to compete at the State and New England Competitions. Members meet with the faculty advisor to prepare for the contests. Teams have competed in the American Math Competitions, the Worcester Polytechnic Institute meet, and the Harvard-MIT meet.

Students interested in pursuing a career in the medical field learn valuable skills for their future profession, including CPR and how to use an AED.

Students interested in mental health promotion host events on campus to increase awareness and promote healthy habits.  

Students interested in diplomacy and discourse compete in multiple Model UN competitions a year. Recently, Pomfret has competed at Yale, NYU, Columbia, and Dartmouth. 

The Pomfret robotics program inspires students to find out their passion about engineering and STEM while preparing for the FIRST robotics competition. Students practice their skills through an array of hand-on experiences including designing robot compartments, constructing robot as well as programming robot operation systems. This program brings benefits to students as the team members practice problem-solving skills and group collaboration, which serve great significance for Pomfret students in the long term. The team code is #7760. 

Students run a thrift store located in the atrium of the Dining Hall. Donated items are sold for a nominal profit.
