Senior Privileges

Spring brings newfound freedoms for the Class of 2026.

Being a member of the senior class just got a whole lot more rewarding. Starting next week, Senior Privileges go into effect.

Starting on Tuesday, April 21, seniors will be allowed to leave dorm spaces during Study Hall to spend time with friends in select campus locations like the Olmsted Student Union. They’ll also have access to the Fitness Center until 9:50 p.m. on weekdays. On May 1, seniors will gain access to 24-hour WiFi in the dorms. On May 3, Friday and Saturday check-ins will be extended by fifteen minutes, giving seniors a little more time with friends on the weekends.

A few longstanding traditions are also making an appearance this Senior Spring. The Large Surfboard Table, a popular Dining Hall gathering spot, will make its long-awaited return. Head of School Heather Willis Daly will also offer donuts in her office after Chapel on Mondays and Fridays.

The final week of the year will bring two of the most anticipated moments of all: Senior Skip Day on May 21 and the Senior Class Trip on May 22, both celebrations of a shared journey nearing its conclusion.

Even as seniors enjoy these newfound freedoms, expectations remain: consistent attendance, ongoing engagement in classes, and maintaining academic progress are all part of the privilege.
