Previously, delivery drivers were permitted to drop orders at multiple locations across campus. While convenient, that system also resulted in unfamiliar vehicles and drivers traveling throughout campus, approaching residence halls, and occasionally entering areas intended only for students and employees.

Please note: Amazon, FedEx, UPS, and other parcel carriers will continue to deliver to the Mail Room.

Centralizing deliveries at one location creates a safer and more consistent system for everyone. It reduces unnecessary traffic through the heart of campus, prevents delivery drivers from entering residential spaces, and gives students and drivers one clear location for every order.

Delivery drivers are strictly prohibited from leaving food at other campus locations, entering residential dormitories, or traveling around campus in search of students. Students should make sure the delivery address associated with their order is 15 Paradise Road and should not ask drivers to meet them elsewhere.

At the same time, we have expanded the food options available to students throughout the day in the dining hall. These expanded options are designed to ensure students have convenient access to food between meals, after activities, and during other times when they may need something to eat without relying on outside delivery.

From 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, students can access a selection of “always available” items outside regular meal service, including peanut butter and jelly, cereal, whole fruit, and cheese sticks. Additional grab-and-go offerings will rotate regularly and may include overnight oats, fruit salad cups, berry parfaits, Griffin trail mix, and Flik snack bites.

* Food delivery for freshmen and sophomores on Saturday ends at 10:30 PM.

Deliveries arriving outside these designated windows are not permitted. The food delivery area is subject to video surveillance. Students are expected to retrieve their orders promptly after delivery. Pomfret School cannot be responsible for food that is misplaced, left unattended, or becomes cold.

We appreciate the cooperation of students and families as we make this transition. By creating one clear drop-off point and establishing consistent delivery hours, we can continue to offer students the convenience of outside food delivery while better protecting the safety, security, and residential character of our campus.
