With 15 sports and 42 teams, we have plenty to choose from.
Cross Country - Boys Varsity
Boys Cross Country is a strong program with a rigorous schedule. Competing annually in the Canterbury Invitational and the Division III New England Prep School Track Association (NEPSTA) Championships, Pomfret runners have distinguished themselves with outstanding team and individual achievements. Runners regularly earn All-New England honors and the team is in the hunt for a New England championship annually. Daily training on the hilly terrain and country roads around Pomfret is our secret weapon, giving us an edge in strength and mental toughness. Our five-kilometer course, including Paradise Hill in the last mile, is a challenge to our visitor and an old friend to us. The coaches are proud that the varsity team always includes homegrown runners who start here and come through the ranks in addition to students who come to Pomfret as experienced racers. This is a program with a strong tradition, one that college recruiters have come to respect.
