Varsity Football has a long tradition of excellence. Fielding its first team in 1894, Pomfret has established a reputation as one of the most successful programs in New England.

Beginning in the 2016 season, Pomfret has partnered with three schools to bring 8-Person football to New England. The goal of the initiative is to provide a viable, long-term alternative to the game in its traditional form. The Griffins will play a seven game regular season with playoffs in the final week. We hope to see you on the sidelines this fall.
