Joshua Wildes
Head Coach
Josh attended Pomfret as a day student from 2000-2004. He then went on to Wesleyan University where he earned a BA in Mathematics. He started teaching math and coaching wrestling immediately afterwards at Salisbury School. He eventually moved on to teach at Roxbury Latin. During his eight years at Roxbury Latin, Josh taught math and was the head wrestling coach. He also completed his masters in Math for Teaching from Harvard Extension School during that time period. He began his Pomfret career in 2020 with his six year old son Wes, and his three year old daughter Zoe, and his wife Amber.

Arthur Horst
Assistant Coach
Art has been an educator for 23 years. His experience includes teaching at Oregon Episcopal School, Northfield Mount Hermon Summer School, Deerfield Academy, and Soledad Enrichment Action (through the Jesuit Volunteer Corps).After graduating cum laude from Loomis Chaffee School, where he earned a varsity letter in four sports and was captain of the football and wrestling teams, Art earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics and his advanced degree in educational administration. Art's coaching experience is highlighted by a New England Championship in wrestling while at Deerfield Academy and a WNEISWA championship (wrestling) at Pomfret in 2009. He served as the coordinator of the action plan for Pomfret School's 2008-2009 NEASC self-study. Art came to Pomfret in 1997 with his family, which includes his wife Martha and their five children.

Greg Fischer
Assistant Coach
Greg grew up in Newburgh, New York before deciding to attend Wesleyan University in Connecticut. There he majored in Psychology while following a premed track. Greg was also a member of the Varsity Wrestling team at Wesleyan and was team captain for two seasons. During this time, Greg was a research assistant with the Reasoning and Decision making lab at Wesleyan where he developed valuable research skills and analytical tools. This has led to Greg becoming well versed in the difficulties and rewards that arise for student athletes. He is committed to helping students work through these difficulties to achieve success both in and outside of the classroom. Greg is currently teaching Advanced Psychology and Chemistry at Pomfret. Outside of the classroom, Greg will be coaching the Wrestling and Baseball teams on campus. Greg's own interests include reading, cooking and completing the NYT crossword.
