Lacrosse – Boys

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Pomfret boys lacrosse program has a long tradition of success competing against many of New England’s storied programs. Competing as an independent within the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council, we maintain a competitive schedule featuring opponents from the Founders League, ISL, East 1, and more.
Beyond team success, Pomfret has a proven history of preparing athletes for success at the next level. Our recent graduates have gone on to compete at Quinnipiac, UMass Amherst, Lehigh, Georgetown, Dickinson, Hamilton, Roanoke, Skidmore, Endicott, Trinity, Tufts, Stevens, Vassar, and Western New England, among others.
The Pomfret lacrosse program is built on the core values of Pomfret School: Community, Growth, and Integrity. We seek to embody these values in all we do as we strive to be the best version of ourselves daily, on and off the field.

COACHES
-
Daniel Dunn
Head CoachCoach Dunn joined the Pomfret School community in 2025. Originally from New Jersey, he was named a high school All-American as an attackman while competing in both lacrosse and hockey. He enrolled at Grand Canyon University playing lacrosse and pursuing both his undergraduate and master's degree. Following graduation, Coach Dunn was named head coach at Lexington Catholic High School in Kentucky. With a fresh offensive perspective the team went from the bottom of the league to back to back state championships. Moving to the college level, Coach Dunn was hired as the Offensive Coordinator at the University of Transylvania (NCAA Division III). His impact was immediate as the program increased their goals per game to rank as the #23 scoring offense during the 2025 season. Besides the offense, Coach Dunn was instrumental with film break down, goalie development, and offensive clears (ranked #5 overall during his tenure). Coach Dunn brings a proven track record of offensive success and a plan to prepare student-athletes for collegiate lacrosse through this program. In addition to the lacrosse program Coach Dunn lives on campus as a dorm parent and teaches in the History department.
