Cross Country – Boys

Boys Cross Country is a strong program with a rigorous schedule. Competing annually in the Canterbury Invitational and the Division III New England Prep School Track Association (NEPSTA) Championships, Pomfret runners have distinguished themselves with both team and individual achievements. Daily training on the hilly terrain and country roads around Pomfret is our secret weapon, giving us an edge in strength and mental toughness. Our five-kilometer course, including an infamous uphill finishing stretch, is a challenge to our visitors and an old friend to us. The coaches are proud that the varsity team always includes homegrown runners who start here and come through the ranks in addition to students who come to Pomfret as experienced racers. This is a program with a strong tradition, one that regularly sends athletes on to compete at the collegiate level. Some of our featured competitions include:
