NEPSAC Tournament Quarterfinalists in 2015 and 2016
Competes against Class B powers Canterbury, Rivers, and Brooks Schools as well as Class A teams Suffield, Williston, Deerfield Academy, and Loomis Chaffee and Class AA programs such as Cheshire Academy
Regular season tournaments have included the Rivers School Holiday Tournament and the Kingswood-Oxford School “Frosty Francis” Holiday Invitational

Ronald Turner

Head Coach

Ronnie is a proud graduate of the University of Maine in 2015 (Go Blackbears!). Ronnie’s first introduction to boarding school life was at Lee Academy where he was a dorm parent and an assistant basketball coach. Ronnie taught 6th graders at Connors elementary and coached at his alma mater, Lewiston High School. He also played basketball overseas in Apopa, El Salvador before joining Bates College as an assistant basketball coach. Ronnie joined the Admissions team in 2022. He is a dorm parent, advisor, and enjoys mentoring student-athletes as the head coach of the varsity boys basketball team. Go Griffins!
Jeremy Irzyk

Assistant Coach

Jeremy is intimately familiar with boarding school communities having grown up on the campus of Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, CT. After attending Regis High School in New York City, he continued his education at Williams College where he graduated in 2021, receiving a BA in History and Political Science while playing on the Varsity Baseball team for four years. He loves the idea of being able to continue the student-athlete lifestyle, this time, as a teacher-coach. On campus, Jeremy serves as the Head Varsity Baseball Coach, Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach, Humanities Program Coordinator, and Dorm Head of Pyne. When not engaging in one of these duties, you can find him watching the Celtics, golfing, or looking up history trivia questions to give to his students and colleagues.
