Where We Play

Pomfret boasts some of the best athletic facilities in New England.

Set on a stunning hilltop campus, our facilities rival most colleges. The hub of our athletic program is the Corzine Athletic Center — home to the gymnasium, squash courts, fitness center, and training room. Beyond its hallowed walls, a renovated ice rink, stunning boathouse, and well-healed tennis center are bounded by top-notch grass and turf fields.

Boathouse

Perched on a hill overlooking picture-perfect Quasset Lake in nearby Woodstock, Blodgett Boathouse is home to our crew teams and their boats.

Playing Fields

Ten grass fields and one 300 x 44-foot turf field dot the Hilltop landscape. Several teams, including field hockey, soccer, football, baseball, and lacrosse, compete here.

Hockey Rink

Jahn Rink, with its iconic glass entryway, is a 200 x 85-foot hockey arena. It includes ample seating for spectators on one side, with room to spare for dressing rooms and ice surfacing equipment.

Squash Courts

Located on the lower level of the Corzine Athletic Center, our eight international squash courts regularly host tournament action. Spectators can watch from the ground level or get a bird's eye view from the second floor walkway.

Wrestling Room

Located on the lower level of the Corzine Athletic Center, this is where our wrestling team hits the mat each winter.

Gymnasium

Lewis Gymnasium, located on the main level of the Corzine Athletic Center, is the home of our basketball and volleyball teams.

Golf Course

Quinnatisset Country Club, located in nearby Thompson, is the area's premier 18-hole course. It serves as our home course.

Trails

Our cross country course is a sinuous 3.1-mile ramble through dense forest and and open field, with several bridges spanning Mashamoquet Brook. This same area is home to our adventure ropes course.

Tennis Center

The Blodgett Tennis Center is the site of six outdoor tennis courts, and includes a shaded spectator pavilion.

Training Room

Housed on the lower level of the Corzine Athletic Center, our 800-square-foot training room offers a wide range of treatments, including injury prevention and assessment, therapeutic modalities, rehabilitation programs, and first aid care.

Fitness Center

Our state-of-the-art fitness center includes cardiovascular and strength training equipment, a variety of free weights, and locker room areas.

Field House

Strong Field House includes four indoor tennis courts and is utilized by a number of athletes during the cold winter months.
