You have to see it to believe it.
You've read our print materials. Clicked through our website. Watched our videos. But before you apply, you need to do one more thing: You have to visit. There are two easy ways to schedule your campus visit. Call us at 860.963.6120 or email our Admissions Office.
Tours and interviews are conducted Monday - Friday (and some Saturdays) during the school year, beginning in October. Your entire visit will last about 2 hours. Because of the high demand for student tour guides and admission counselors, many of our visit days fill up completely, and we encourage you to schedule your visit early in the search process.

Come prepared with questions. Your tour guide or admissions director will be happy to answer all of your questions. We look forward to meeting you.
When you arrive at Pomfret, please enter via the South Entrance. Immediately on your left, you will find a convenient parking area. Once you are parked, please make your way across the lane to the front door of Robinson House where a member of the admissions team will be waiting to greet you. Once you are settled, we will introduce you to your student tour guide.
On the tour, you will have a chance to walk our campus and visit our classrooms, athletic facilities, dorm rooms, art and performance spaces, and community hubs. This is also a great time to ask questions that really matter to you. Our student tour guides are the real Pomfret experts and we encourage them to speak openly and honestly with prospective families. The tour lasts one hour.
If you visit during interview season, which runs from October to January, you will meet with an admissions representative. We want you to have a great interview, and our directors are here to help you share your best, truest self. During the interview, students spend about 15-20 minutes with an Admissions representative, and then the parent(s) have about 10-15 minutes with that same director. As a result, your whole family will leave Pomfret with a personal connection and partner who can answer questions and offer advice throughout the admissions process.
We call them Key Heads because they are the key to our success, serving as role models and leaders in our community.
The Quiet Corner is home to a number of small bed and breakfasts, and a smattering of larger hotels. The Inn at Woodstock Hill, about 10 minutes away, is a wonderful choice. Comfort Inn and Suites, in nearby Dayville, is another popular (and cheaper) option.
There are two good restaurants within walking distance of Pomfret. Downtown Putnam also has a number of great options. For lunch, we suggest the Vanilla Bean in Pomfret. For dinner, we suggest 85 Main in Putnam.
