Wellbeing

Making Wellbeing a Vital Element of School Life

THE MISSION OF MANY INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS across the globe is to reach and teach the whole student and to cultivate learning and growth in mind, body, and spirit. The emergence of wellbeing as a vital element in education allows our schools to become even truer forms of what we say we are. Pomfret School offers one model of how to realize this through the creation of a Wellbeing department and the development of an integrated curriculum woven throughout school life. Just as our schools have made thinking more visible in the classroom during the last decade, we have begun the journey to make wellbeing even more visible throughout all facets of school life. Join us for this unique week-long experience of enrichment, inspiration, collaborative planning, and rejuvenation as we embark on this journey to make wellbeing a central component within the lives of our schools.
