AI Co-Lab New England
EXPLORING THE USE OF AI TOOLS IN CLASSROOMS
THE GENERATIVE AI REVOLUTION is upon us, and there are profound implications for changes within our classrooms. It’s a vital time to explore the potential and pitfalls of these AI tools, and Co-Lab Con is all about directly exploring them. This group is specifically focused on classroom teachers of all levels, and we welcome administrators and IT specialists to join the evaluation. During the school year, our interschool AI Co-Lab meets every month to introduce, experiment, and offer feedback and reflection online. The Grauer Institutes AI Co-Lab Con is a chance to work together in person, develop new explorations, plan for the year ahead, and have some fun! Attendees will have the time and energy to work on longer projects and collaborate directly with dozens of passionate colleagues from all over the country. This is the much-needed experimentation time that you likely wished for during the school year. We’ll give you the time, space, and inspiration to create incredible pieces for the coming school year.

Josh Lake
Josh is the Director of Technological Innovation at Pomfret and has taught science, digital arts, and computer-based courses for twenty-four years. His passion is astronomy and computer coding, and he’s practicing at the leading edge of how technology can transform teaching and learning. With a masters in Learning and Knowledge Management Systems, he’s been eagerly waiting for this moment when the power of AI tools has come to the general public and has wide access in schools that allow it. Josh also cares deeply about the ethical implications of AI use, and he developed Codes Against Academy, a card-based discussion game to facilitate great conversations about AI and its future in learning. Josh wants to encourage other passionate teachers to thoughtfully, ethically, and proactively approach the current educational sea change that this AI revolution invoked.
