Picturesque Campus

Nestled on a stunning hilltop in rural Northeastern Connecticut, Pomfret School has earned a reputation as one of the most beautiful schools in the world. With its 500-acre campus studded by maples and ringed by historic stone walls, our Hilltop campus exudes quintessential New England charm.
Delicious Meals

Mealtimes at the Grauer Institute are more than just an opportunity to refuel — they’re a chance to connect with fellow participants across Institutes. So we decided to make it really, really good. Each day, you’ll enjoy three delicious meals thoughtfully crafted by Executive Chef JD Mellowship.
Comfortable Accommodations

As a guest of the Grauer Institute, you’ll stay in a private room overlooking the heart of campus. All rooms include access to a shared bathroom, with towels and linens provided for your convenience. For those who prefer to stay off campus, a commuter option offering a $250 discount off the regular rate is available.
Activities

Your day doesn’t end when your Institute session does. Optional evening activities include guided hikes, lawn games on the Quad, and a lively trivia night. You’ll also have access to Pomfret’s fitness center, extensive wooded trail system, yoga studio, tennis center, and squash courts.
Cross-Institute Connections

One of the unique advantages of attending a Grauer Summer Institute is the opportunity to engage with participants from a variety of fields and sessions. With multiple Institute programs running simultaneously, you’ll have plenty of chances for discussions and idea-sharing that extend beyond your own session.
Travel Made Easy

Your registration fee includes complimentary airport transfers to and from Providence (PVD), Bradley (BDL), and Boston (BOS) airports—making your travel arrangements easier and more convenient. For those traveling by car, our campus is easily accessible via major highways.
