The Pomfret EDGE

Our EDGE program, located in the Collaborative Learning Center, offers specialized learning support to students with diagnosed learning challenges.

This one-on-one class offers students the opportunity to develop compensatory strategies for remediating specific and general learning challenges in reading, written expression, receptive and expressive language, test taking skills, and executive functioning. Instruction and skills work are supported by brain-based learning principles, core class assignments, and supplemental materials, as well as multi-sensory resources to assist in learning reinforcement.

As part of the experience, an academic support specialist creates a learning plan tailored to address the student’s specific needs and goals. Students meet with their academic support specialist three times each week for either a half class block or, for students who require a more robust learning plan, a full class block. Please note that full class blocks are available at the discretion of the Director of Learning Support. Documentation is highly encouraged.

Half Class Block: $2,300 / term
Full Class Block: $4,600 / term
