These programs do not fit into categories — and that is their strength. They ask questions without clear answers and pose problems without definite solutions. In the process, they challenge our students to stretch and grow.
Every December we set aside two-and-a-half weeks for Project: Pomfret to explore and investigate problems that inspire and perplex us. The result is an experience steeped in discovery, measured by progress, and powered by possibility.

At Pomfret, we believe community service is more than an idea. It’s a call to action. This program pairs students with community partners to do real work that changes lives for the better.
The Helios Project is a passive solar aquaponics greenhouse built by students. When fully operational, the greenhouse will support student research and supply fresh produce to local food pantries.
