Private Music Instruction

One-on-one lessons with accomplished musicians.

THE PRIVATE MUSIC INSTRUCTION PROGRAM at Pomfret offers students an exciting opportunity to explore the world of music through 45-minute weekly lessons. In partnering with the Academic Office, Pomfret students are eligible to take private instruction for academic credit each term (fall, winter, spring). Lessons are scheduled during the academic day (lunch, free block), during afternoons or evenings, and on weekends. Scheduling is determined by the instructor and student. While consistent instruction is strongly encouraged, it is not required.

"Music enhances the education of our children by helping them to make connections and broadening the depth with which they think and feel. If we are to hope for a society of culturally literate people, music must be a vital part of our children's education."
