You have to see it to believe it.
If you are thinking of visiting the Hilltop, then you probably already know a lot about us. You've read our print materials. Clicked through our website. Watched our videos. But before you apply, you need to do one more thing: You have to visit.
There are two easy ways to schedule your Campus visit
- Call us at 860.963.6120
- Email our Admissions Office
Tours and interviews are conducted Monday - Friday (and some Saturdays) during the school year, beginning in October. Your entire visit will last about 2 hours. Because of the high demand for student tour guides and admission counselors, many of our visit days fill up completely, and we encourage you to schedule your visit early in the search process.

Come prepared with questions. Your tour guide or admission counselor will be happy to answer all of your questions. We can’t wait to meet you!
When you arrive at Pomfret, please enter via the South Entrance. Immediately on your left, you will find a convenient parking area. Once you are parked, please make your way across the lane to the front door of Robinson House where a member of the admissions team will be waiting to greet you. Once you are settled, we will introduce you to your student tour guide.
On the tour, you will have a chance to walk our campus and visit our classrooms, athletic facilities, dorm rooms, art and performance spaces, and community hubs. This is also a great time to ask questions that really matter to you. Our student tour guides are the real Pomfret experts and we encourage them to speak openly and honestly with prospective families. The tour lasts one hour.
If you visit during interview season, which runs from October to January, you will meet with an admission counselor. We want you to have a great interview, and our counselors are here to help you share your best, truest self. During the interview, students spend about 15-20 minutes with a member of our staff, and then the parent(s) have about 10 minutes with that same interviewer. As a result, your whole family will leave Pomfret with a friend and a partner who can answer questions and offer advice throughout the admissions process.
There are plenty of people on campus who can point you in the right direction, but just in case, you can find what you are looking for with this campus map.
We call them Key Heads because they epitomize the Pomfret student, serving as role models and leaders in our community.
